Before embarking on his journey with The Local Guys – Pest Control, Shaun Goulding honed his skills in the car industry. However, in 2016 Shaun seized the opportunity for a fresh start. Utilising his redundancy package, he ventured into the pest control franchise sector, drawn by its lucrative profit margins and the stability and flexibility it offered for his family.
Shaun's dedication and expertise quickly propelled his business to local prominence. He cultivated a robust clientele, serving diverse properties ranging from residential to commercial, including esteemed establishments like wineries, hotels, disability centers, and national restaurant chains. His comprehensive knowledge spanned various pest control challenges, from bed bugs to possums.
Despite his achievements, Shaun yearned for greater responsibility and career advancement. Witnessing the rapid growth and success of The Local Guys brand under Jarrad and Stacey's leadership, Shaun recognised the potential for personal and professional growth within their franchise model. Joining forces with The Local Guys in 2021 as the Pest Control Divisional Franchise Partner, Shaun is poised to leverage his expertise to not only further his own business but also to mentor and support aspiring individuals in the pest control industry.

Jarrad and Stacey are the driving forces behind The Local Guys brand.
Before embarking on their journey with The Local Guys, Jarrad and Stacey pursued diverse career paths. Jarrad's global adventures led him to discover his passion for the service-based industry more than 10 years ago. Meanwhile, Stacey carved out a successful career as a qualified Accountant at a prestigious firm.
As a married couple, Jarrad and Stacey ventured into multiple hospitality and retail franchises and businesses, gaining firsthand experience as Franchise Partners. They immersed themselves in every aspect of the business, from marketing and accounting to customer service, gaining invaluable insights into the franchise model from the partner's perspective.
Driven by their desire for a fulfilling family life and a healthy work-life balance, Jarrad and Stacey recognised the unparalleled success and flexibility offered by the service-based industry. Thus, they redirected their focus, finding immense joy and satisfaction in their decision. In 2020, their happiness multiplied with the arrival of their first child.
With over a decade of experience in the service-based industry, Jarrad has successfully managed clients ranging from small businesses to national corporations. His track record includes securing and overseeing numerous significant contracts with government entities and commercial enterprises nationwide. Additionally, Jarrad has played a pivotal role in training and mentoring technicians, nurturing their growth and development.

About Our Technicians
At The Local Guys – Pest Control, all technicians are Franchise Partners. This means you are working with the owner of a small business local to your area, rather than just an employee. As a result, our technicians take pride in their business and are dedicated to providing the highest quality service possible to their clients.
All of our pest control technicians are required to have a current:
- Police Clearance Check
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- First Aid Certificate
- Full Pest Control Licencing to Operate
- Driver’s Licence and Branded Vehicle
- Gun Licence (where required)
- Working Safely at Heights Certificate (where required)
All technicians are uniformed and have $5,000,000 in Public Liability Insurance.
